Precautions for using spring
High-quality springs generally use 55CrSi. If there is no quality requirement, 50CrSi or 65Mn can be used. High-quality springs have high-temperature resistance, high rigidity, and long life, but it is also necessary to pay attention to the precautions of the abrasive spring.
(1) The upper and lower installation surfaces of the spring must be parallel. The upper and lower ends of the standard spring should process very flat.
(2) Do not mix old and new springs when replacing parts. The magnitude of the load received is uneven, and springs with large loads will fail early.
(3) Maintenance personnel often modify the standard spring because there is no suitable spring in use. For example, shortening of the inner and outer diameters, cutting, spring series connection, etc., will cause the spring to fail to maintain its original characteristics, resulting in early failure.
(4) The selection of the diameter of the spring hole and the central shaft directly affects the stability and guiding function of the spring. The specifications of each spring are different. When using the spring, it cannot be easily replaced or modified at will.
(5) Avoid mixing foreign matter such as iron filings and waste mixing into the spring. Garbage will reduce the number of effective turns of the spring, causing the spring damaged due to high local stress. Please check the spring frequently for foreign objects during use.
